This scene depicts the country east of Quebec City.
The row of farm houses are on the Chemin du Roi or Kings Road in Chateau Richer Quebec.
This road was the first passage made by the pilgrims from the St lawrence river to past
Quebec city. The upper hills are known as the Cote Du Beaupre where we can follow the
road to the famous shrine of St Anne de Beaupre.
This is one of my favorite regions where I spend much time painting the scenery.
